Blackberry Enterprise Server - Low Disk Space Cleanup

The BES keeps log files in the \Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs directory. From time to time, this directory may need to be cleaned up to free disk space. I will be writing a quick script to copy these off every week or so, but for now all folders EXCEPT the following can be moved off the disk:

  • webserver
  • Installer
  • Current week's folder

This is all well and good for a quick cleanup but is there any chance you can alter the settings in the server itself to remove files older than X days?

Yes you can here are the instructions:

1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution
topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > Logging.

2. Click the instance that contains the logging settings that you want to change.

3. On the Logging details tab, click Edit instance.

4. In each section, in the Maximum age of daily log files field, type the number of days that you want the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to delete the log files after.

5. Click Save all.

hello, when I try access in the logging component (BlackBerry Solution
topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > Logging) is very slow, any idea about this problem?
This components are in BES Server no DB.
Thanks,
